Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is a mid-range smartphone by the Chinese company that comes at a starting price of Rs 14,999 for the base RAM and storage variant of 6GB+64GB. There are two higher variants of the device: 6GB+128GB that is priced at Rs 15,999 and 8GB+128GB that is priced at Rs 17,999. There are four colour variants that the smartphone comes in: Halo White, Gamma Green, Shadow Black, Dark Blue.
The smartphone measures 161.7 x 76.4x 8.81mm and weighs about 200gm. It features a 6.53-inch Dot Notch HDR display with a 2340 x 1080 FHD+ resolution. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is powered by an octa-core Helio G90T processor coupled with an 800MHz ARM Mali G76 MC4 GPU. There are two RAM options: 6GB and 8GB. The device runs company’s own custom UI based on Android 9 Pie.
There is a quad camera setup at the back that include a 64MP primary camera with f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 and 120-degree FOV, a 2MP Macro lens with 2cm focus and a dedicated depth sensor. At the front, there is a 20MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Some of the features of rear camera are 64MP HD, night mode, AI scene detection, smart ultra-wide angle mode etc. As for the front camera, the features include panorama selfie, palm shutter, AI silhouette detection, wide-angle distortion correction etc. The various smartphone sensors are proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope etc.
The device storage can be expanded by up to 512GB via microSD. The smartphone is backed by a 4500mAh battery and Includes an 18W fast charger in the pack.
